Looking for meal planning tips? In the Meal Planning: Creating Your Meal Plan post I shared tips on how to start planning your menu.
If you want to create a meal plan that you will actually follow, the key is to create a menu of dishes that you want to eat. So don’t don’t use meal planning to cook meals that you don’t like or won’t eat. If your meal plan includes dishes that you don’t want to eat, chances are, you won’t be motivated to follow the plan and cook those dishes. On the other hand, when you include the dishes you actually like, you will be able to create a meal plan that you will actually follow!
Here are three great meal plans that include delicious and easy to make recipes.
Do you like Chinese food? Who doesn’t? Here is a sample meal plan with some Chinese food inspired dishes. Cooking your own Chinese food is much better than getting takeout. When you cook your own food, you will be able to control the amount of salt, oil and spices that you put in it. Like spicy food? Then you can make it spicy. Don’t like spicy food? Then you can make your food not at all spicy. When you make your own food, it is all up to you.
In this sample meal plan, make chicken stir fry with eggplants – a great dish that is made with ground chicken breast and eggplants. It is very flavorful and delicious. In addition to the chicken stir fry, the sample meal plan includes brown rice and a Red Onions and Cucumber Salad Recipe. Both brown rice and Cucumber Salad are very simple recipes, that will go well with the chicken stir fry.

Here is an example of a Vegetarian Meal Plan. If you want to have a vegetarian dinner during the week, here is a fun meal to plan – Meyer Lemon and Asparagus Risotto Recipe and a salad. Please note, in the recipe I am using chicken stock, which makes this dish not vegetarian. Use vegetable stock instead of chicken stock to make vegetarian risotto.
What can you serve with this risotto? Serve a tasty and delicious salad, the Avocado Salad With Feta And Radishes. This salad is very simple to make, you will need avocados, radishes, feta cheese, onion, dill, and lime.
