How To Tenderize Chicken Breasts

It is very simple to do. For easy cleanup, first cover the chicken with saran wrap for easy cleanup. Then, use meat tenderizer to make the chicken breasts even and thinner.

Thinner chicken breasts will marinate better, as delicious marinade will need less time to make chicken flavorful.

And, if the chicken breasts you have are uneven in thickness, it will be very hard to grill them well. Some parts of the chicken will cook faster than others, which will result in some parts being tough and others being undercooked. When the chicken breasts have the same thickness throughout, it will result in the whole chicken breasts being cooked at the same time, and you will have a juicy delicious chicken breast.

How To Marinate Greek Grilled Chicken

I don’t like to do much clean up, so here is the best way to marinate the chicken without much cleanup. Get a plastic gallon bag. Add chicken and marinade to the bag. Mix them together, to make sure that chicken is covered with the marinade.

  • You want to make all the chicken breasts thin and uniform, that way they will cook faster, and they will take the same time to cook. Put chicken breasts on the cutting board, and pound them with the meat tenderizer to the desired thickness. A tip: for easier cleanup, cover chicken breasts with saran wrap before pounding them.
    If the chicken breasts that you purchased are already thin enough, you can skip this step.
  • Dry the chicken breasts with paper towels. When the chicken breasts are dry, they will be able to absorb the Easy Greek Chicken Marinade better.
  • In a gallon bag combine Easy Greek Chicken Marinade and chicken breasts. Mix them together, and make sure that the chicken is covered with the marinade.
    Put the bag with the chicken in a mixing bowl, and put the mixing bowl in the refrigerator for a few hours, to let the chicken marinate.
  • Heat up the grill pan. Grill the chicken for 5-6 minutes on one side, then turn it, and grill until it is done. Make sure that chicken's internal temperature is at least 165F.
    Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
