Do you like Chinese bbq spare ribs or bbq pork that they serve at Chinese restaurants? I like the delicious Chinese Spare Ribs, and I really like the delicious Chinese Barbecue dishes as well.
If you are looking for Chinese bbq sauce for ribs, you have to try this sauce I have put together! I always wanted to make my own Chinese bbq sauce. So when I started making my own Instant Pot Spare Ribs, I wanted to make them with my own barbecue sauce.
So I started experimenting with various Asian ingredients, to create a delicious bbq sauce that can be used on ribs, pork and other meats. My requirements were that it would have to be delicious, have very pronounced Asian flavors and not have too much sugar. I also didn’t want it to be too tomato-y. To make sure that this Chinese BBQ Sauce does not taste too tomato-y, I am not using too much ketchup in it.
And I am also using just a teaspoon of brown sugar in it, to minimize the sugar. If you want, you can skip the sugar altogether, the sauce will still be delicious.
You don’t need a lot of kitchen equipment to make this sauce, here is what you need to make the sauce:
Mixing Bowl, use a mixing bowl to mix the delicious Chinese BBQ sauce.
To make the sauce, all you need to do is put Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar and ketchup into a mixing bowl, and then mix. That’s it, your bbq sauce is ready for using in a recipe!

Chinese Bbq Sauce Recipe
This is the easiest Chinese Bbq Sauce Recipe ever! In just two minutes, you will have a delicious barbecue sauce to use on spare ribs, pork and other meats!
Prep Time: 1 minutes
Cook time: 2 minutes
1/2 Cup of Hoisin Sauce
3 Tablespoons of Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
1 Teaspoon of Brown Sugar
1-2 Tablespoons of Ketchup
Combine all of the ingredients for the Chinese Bbq Sauce in a mixing bowl. Mix the ingredients together.
Use on Chinese spare ribs, pork, or any other meat.
