1 pound of Asparagus
A handful of Walnuts
1 teaspoon of Red Wine Vinegar
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Cut off and discard the the tough ends of the asparagus. Wash the asparagus.

I think roasted asparagus will be fine in this dish, I would just skip adding oil to the dressing is using roasted. But the steamed asparagus is great in this recipe too – it absorbs the dressing and has lots of flavor.
