I like making meatballs, one of my favorite meatball recipes is the Simple Meatball Recipe. I like that meatball recipe because the meatballs are baked instead of fried. It is easier to bake meatballs than to fry them, so by making the meatballs you make the recipe simpler!

On the other hand, whenever I made Swedish meatballs I always fried them, which made the Swedish meatballs not as simple to make. Finally I decided to create a new Swedish Meatball Recipe in which I bake meatballs instead of frying them. Baking makes the recipe simpler, but there was one issue with it.

The delicious Swedish meatball sauce, the sauce that you serve with Swedish meatballs, is made with pan drippings left in the pan after you fry the meatballs. So if you don’t fry your Swedish meatballs, you don’t have pan drippings to make the sauce. So what should you do?

After thinking about it, I just left a bit of meat from making the meatballs and fried the meat to create pan drippings. Very simple and very easy, much easier than frying all the meatballs just to get the drippings for the Swedish meatball sauce.

A note about the meat to use for the Swedish Meatball Recipe. For the Italian meatballs I prefer to use just beef, I tried them with other meat combinations, and beef seems to be the best, for the Swedish Meatballs I prefer to use the meatloaf mix.

You can serve the Swedish Meatballs with Boiled Red Potatoes With Butter and Dill, and a salad, such as Tomato Salad With Onions and Blue Cheese, Green Beans and Tomato Salad, or Cucumber Salad.
